Website postcodeof.co.uk is absolutely free for online use. We don't collect any personal information of the visitors. Read more on Terms page. Most of the main postcode lists (postal codes for towns, areas and districts) are collected from Wikipedia, the free and open encyclopedia. Most of the postcodes are exported from openstreetmap.org, their data is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. Our postcode database has been expanded from geolocated database provided by B99 business directory. Database has been rechecked from other sources too. Some useful postcode links:

- Ordnance Survey and their OS OpenData initiative where you can download the Code-Point data set.
- The Northern Irish data (BT district) postcodes can be seen on Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency website.
- If you want, you can buy postcode databases from geo post codes.
